Jeffers Farms began more than 180 years ago. When in 1822, a Revolutionary War soldier by the name of Nathaniel Jeffers purchased a 320 acre parcel in northeast Pennsylvania in Susquehanna County. As time has passed, the farm has expanded to encompass more than 2,100 acres around the family's original homestead. In 1929, under the direction of Henry Jeffers Sr, the first conifer trees were planted. By 1942, 12,000 Christmas trees were harvested. In recent years the operation has expanded into the balled and burlapped market. We have applied our expertise for growing high quality Christmas trees for the production of exceptional nursery stock. Currently we have more than 500 acres under cultivation. The balance of our lands are devoted to hardwood forests. From these we cut high grade furniture wood. Jeffers Farms is a year round operation where careful stewardship is applied each season to ensure the production of exceptional products. It is also a traditional family farm with various members involved in the management and its daily activities. Contact us and come for a visit, you will not be disappointed in what we have to offer.
