On April 7, 1987, eleven ladies attended an informational meeting and agreed Junior Auxiliary would benefit the Cabot community. At the time, Cabot had a population of 6168 people and was still considered a small town. These ladies collected information about the needs of Cabot residents and solicited support from Cabot businesses and city officials and convinced them a need existed for an organization like Junior Auxiliary, an organization solely dedicated to the needs of children.
