History

The Kiwanis Club of Johnson City was organized February 18, 1920 and chartered May 14, 1920. The club began with just under thirty members and has grown to its current membership of over one hundred members . Over the years, the club has held many fundraisers, including pancake breakfasts, a pizza booth at the Appalachian District Fair, and other events. We help out in the community in a variety of ways, including sponsoring youth groups, raising money to benefit children and children's support groups, and providing scholarships. The club has enjoyed a rich history over the years, with its members coming from a wide array of fields and backgrounds including medicine, law, finance, accounting, business, civil service, education, management, and many others.
