The Kiwanis Club of Mesilla Valley was chartered May 26, 1953 by the Kiwanis Club of Las Cruces because some of its members who worked at White Sands Missile Range were unable attend its meetings.
The Kiwanis Club of Mesilla Valley is part of Kiwanis International's Southwest District, which includes about 145 clubs from New Mexico; Arizona; El Paso, Texas; and Blythe, California. The Kiwanis Club of Mesilla Valley is in Division 7, which also includes Kiwanis clubs in Las Cruces, Deming, Silver City and Truth or Consequences, New Mexico.
