About Us:

LaFayette Middle School (LMS) is the largest middle school in Walker County. We teach grades 6th-8th. We are a Title I School. Our staff is committed to teaching our future leaders to Ensure All Students Graduate: Ready for College, Ready for Work and Ready for Life. Our academic structure includes two grade level teams per grade. Each team has an ELA, Math, Science and Social Studies teacher. Our school schedule each day consists of all four academic classes and one connection class. Our classes are seventy-minutes long. We also provide an ELT (Extended Learning Time) each day so students can receive remediation or enrichments when needed. LMS also strives to meet the needs of all students. We are the only middle school to offer the opportunity for students to earn high school credit in up to four classes: Spanish, Algebra I, Physical Science and Ag.
