Our Mission
The Lake Placid Garden Club strives to provide education, resources and networking opportunities for its members to promote the love of gardening, floral design, civic and environmental responsibility. The garden path to fulfilling our mission includes the following goals:
-To stimulate a knowledge and love of gardening
-To protect and preserve native plants and birds
-To educate youth in the preservation of our environment
-To actively promote civic beautification
-To support the objectives of the Florida Federation of Garden Clubs, Deep South Region and National Garden Clubs
About Us
The Lake Placid Garden Club was organized in 1952 and Federated in 1953. The LPGC has been involved with many local and state gardening related activities throughout its 50 year plus history. Today, with approximately 90 members, the club strives to be a responsible citizen for our fragile environment.
