Overview
After more than 18 years in the office furnishings industry, the last five as president/CEO of the Rucker Fuller Company in San Francisco, I made the decision to "follow my bliss" and pursue my passion for contemporary art on a full time basis. This is a passion that has existed since the early 1970's when I first began to collect art. In 1989 I established my new business in my home in Moraga as a private dealer and consultant in contemporary art.
As a private dealer I maintain an active inventory of contemporary art by nationally and internationally known artists. I also work closely with the better galleries in San Francisco, as well as New York, Chicago and Los Angeles, and directly with numerous artists and certain publishers, and will work with individuals and corporations in buying high quality art.
In 1993 I opened a gallery in San Francisco called the Larry Evans/James Willis Gallery. In 2001 I established a new relationship with Ed Russell of Graystone, presenting two exhibitions a year in our space at 77 Geary Street, San Francisco. In 2006 I closed that gallery but opened a private showroom at 333 Grant Avenue in San Francisco. The showroom is open by appointment.
