In February, 2008, the Englewood Florida community received their state scenic highway designation.  The SR776 corridor includes areas in both Sarasota and Charlotte Counties on Florida's gulf coast. Additional "loops" of roadway were included to help point out to visitors, as well as the local community, of the many historical and natural resources our community has.

This committee accomplishes the goals outlined in the action plan presented tot he state of Florida when applying for Scenic Highway Designation.
