In 1964 a child’s chance of surviving Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia (ALL), the most common form of childhood leukemia, was 3%. Today about 90% of children survive. Unfortunately there is still progress to be made and this past December five year old, Brenna, lost her battle to ALL. Brenna is a local from our neighborhood, a Durham resident. After a strong and determined fight from a beautiful girl it is our duty to ensure she has an ever lasting legacy. Please join us as we rally in Brenna’s honor!
The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society has been given the amazing opportunity to raise $100,000 by June 14, 2013 to link Brenna’s name to an LLS-funded researcher to honor her legacy and help others with blood cancers. By joining TEAM BRENNA, team members will not only help to achieve this research grant for Brenna but also raise funds to directly impact blood cancer research.
Anyone can participate in a Team In Training event and there is a program to meet everyone’s needs.
