Mission:

To know Jesus and to make Him known.

Beliefs:

God - God is the Creator, Sustainer and Ruler of all things. He eternally exists in three persons: The Father, The Son, and The Holy Spirit, each with distinct attributes, but without division of nature, essence, or being. God is eternal, all-powerful, all knowing, ever present, and perfect in love.  He alone is worthy to receive all glory, honor, and praise.

Man - Mankind is created in the image of God.  However, having given into the temptation of Satan in the Garden of Eden, mankind fell into sin.  There is nothing mankind can do in and of themselves to remove this sin.  Man is in need of a Savior.

Jesus - Jesus is the Son of God, God in the flesh.  Having not considered equality with God as something to hold on to, God came and dwelt among us.  Having lived a sinless life, Jesus was able to go to the cross to be our sacrifice so that our sin might be atoned for.  He was crucified and buried, but He rose again on the third day promising a resurrected, eternal life to all who would trust in Him.

Salvation - Salvation is through faith in Christ.  One proclaims this faith by repenting of their sins and being united with Christ in believers' baptism.

Eternity - On a day not known to man, Christ will return to judge the living and the dead.  Those who have placed their faith in Christ will dwell with Him for all eternity in the New Heavens and the New Earth.

Here at LCC, we believe the Bible is the Word of God.  We believe that it contains the words of life that help us live a life that is pleasing to God.  They have the power to shape us in the image of Christ.

Each week we spend time opening up the Bible and learning how to be more like Jesus with relevant messages.
