The "Vision Of The House" is God's specific mission for our church as compared to God's specific mission for another local church body. The vision not only defines what we should be doing, but also defines our boundaries, revealing what valid activities are best left to other churches and organizations.

In other words, the vision keeps us from being an exact duplicate of another church, and prevents us from being a "jack of all trades and master of none." The vision helps us "play to our strengths." As revealed in the first chapters of the Book of Revelation, every local church has a different assignment from God with a specific torch to carry. This vision makes our progress definable and measurable. Each believer has an individual destiny from God and together as a local church we have a corporate destiny as we pool our individual anointings and giftings for a higher calling.
