Vision

The vision of Living Springs Community Church is to be a Spirit filled church that:

I. Produces people who evidence:

A.Genuine spirituality - a living spring of rest and renewal.

To be a church where all things are done with total reliance on the leading of the Holy Spirit, with a real striving for consensus and with prayer being the heart of all our ministries and activities.

To be a truly loving church where in the name and Spirit of Jesus people experience acceptance, encouragement, support, companionship and sharing with one another. This vision calls for having a variety of small groups in which at least 60% of our membership is included at any one time.

B.Compassion for the hurting - a living spring of healing and restoration.
To have ministries for the needy people in the southern suburbs. This includes counseling ministries for the poor and ministries with the disabled.
C.Heart for the Lost - a living spring of salvation.

To be a growing regional church with a goal of an annual growth rate of at least 10% for the next seven years. Our vision is that this growth will come from people who do not have a personal faith in Jesus and who will come to know Jesus through the ministry of our church and its members.

To further the ministry of the gospel in other places by eventually spawning new congregations, and by being a major supporter of missions and other Christian works.

II. Works together to:

A.Be Intentionally Inclusive - a living spring of unity where diverse people worship the Lord together.

To be an inclusive, multicultural church which demonstrates how people of diverse social classes, races, ethnic backgrounds, physical and mental abilities, and educational levels can enrich one another's lives through the grace of Jesus.

B.Empower the Next Generation - A living spring of empowerment for children, youth and adults.

Where children and youth are inspired and instructed to become dedicated followers of Jesus.

Where adults are taught to develop a biblical world view and where at least 50% of the members are involved in a biblical education experience beyond the Sunday service.

Where interns are trained for full time Christian vocations.

Where retreats and conferences are regularly provided for members and non- members.

Where there is a vibrant mid-week evening program where people can grow deeper in the experience of the Christian life.

Where there are special ministries to support family life, ministries for singles and ministries to help parents.

Where resources and facilities are provided for people to express their Christian faith in various art forms, such as fine arts, music, dance, drama, multimedia and audio-visual.

C.Plan and construct the facilities needed for ministry

We envision a worship center that will accommodate a congregation of 1,000, a multi-purpose room for sport and social activities, a place to eat and have fellowship, facilities needed to do excellent children's and youth ministries, a place for preschool and day care, rooms and spaces for adult group meetings, educational classes, arts ministry, seminars, conferences, offices for counseling ministry, work places for support staff and a place for prayer and meditation. As much as possible these facilities will be planned so that they can be used for more than one function and also for being adaptable to changing needs and trends. The appearance and function of the building should be designed to lift the human spirit.
