Duffy School services all Florence Township students in Preschool, Grade 4 and Grade 5. The instructional programs are contemporary and our teachers participate in a wide variety of staff development activities so that teaching methods are innovative and state of the art. All students receive direct instruction in curriculums approved by the Board of Education including: reading, writing, mathematics, science, social studies, English, spelling handwriting, art, music, library, physical education, health and computer literacy. The emphasis of our instructional programs is student success; consequently, we strive to address the individual learning styles of our students through both Resource Room and Basic Skills support services. For those children with unique talents and abilities the school offers instrumental music instruction and gifted /talented program.

The PTA is an active partner in the operation and support of Duffy School. The PTA is instrumental in sponsoring a wide variety of cultural arts assemblies and holiday/seasonal celebrations. The School is also fortunate to have formed a partnership with the Florence Township Police who instruct Grade 5 students in Drug Awareness Resistance Education
