Mission Statement
The Margaret Brent Elementary School Community will provide each student with the necessary skills and knowledge to enable him/her to develop into an individualized learner with optimum growth as a whole child, intellectually, socially, physically, and emotionally. With teachers, students, and parents working as partners, we will foster the love of learning in a safe, nurturing environment where children feel respected and valued for their individuality and diversity. Our students will be prepared to shape a positive future not only for themselves, but also for their community.

Margaret Brent Elementary School:

Margaret Brent Elementary School, located on Mountain View Road, opened in August, 2004. Our population consists of approximately 600 children who attended Rockhill Elementary, Garrisonville Elementary, Hartwood Elementary, and Winding Creek Elementary. Our school colors are green, blue, and silver. The green comes from Winding Creek and Garrisonville; the blue is from Rockhill and Hartwood; (the silver is just to add a little pizzazz). When we start a new adventure, it’s always nice to bring something from our past with us. The blending of colors is just the beginning as we blend our school communities into the Margaret Brent Elementary School Community.
