MCC is committed to carry on the mission and proclaim the message of Jesus. His mission was to seek and save the lost according to Luke 19:10 and his message was to declare God's incredible love for the world according to John 3:16. To accomplish this task, we must have a common vision, a clear mission and shared values.
Our vision statement is:
Developing Lifelong Followers Of Jesus
It not only answers the question: "Why is MCC here?" but also provides a verbal picture that produces excitement and fosters commitment.
"Developing" - no matter our life stage or spiritual age, we all need to be developing... taking a next step.
"Lifelong" - conveys the idea of an intentional ongoing process or purposeful journey.
"Followers" - it's more than being an informed believer, it's about being a surrendered follower of Jesus, a disciple.
"Jesus" - He is what the good news is all about! He is our Savior, example and Lord.
Our mission statements are:
Loving The Lost, Making Disciples, And Serving Others
These not only answer the question: "How will MCC accomplish the vision?" but also serve as a simple map that provides clarity and direction in the pursuit of the vision.
"Loving The Lost" - "Jesus looked at him and loved him. 'One thing you lack,' he said. 'Go, sell everything you have and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me.'" Mark 10:21
"Making Disciples" - "Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit..." Matthew 28:19
"Serving Others" - "I have set you an example that you should do as I have done for you." John 13:15
