Maryland Sings mission is to bring together musically talented singers in a professional musical performance environment to teach, inspire and cultivate them to be positive role models in all aspects of their lives. The organization is dedicated to evaluating young voices and developing programs to train young children in the classical foundation of music. While nurturing the student's musical development, Maryland Sings also tries to develop the student's aesthetic qualities, including positive self-image, positive group interaction and a commitment to society through values such as kindness, personal responsibility, self discipline and respect for others.

- To recruit talented young voices regardless of economical stature, race or creed, and to provide them with a strong foundation of rhythmic, melodic fundamentals and vocal coaching through weekly classes.

- To inform, challenge, enhance and provide meaningful musical experiences so that the students may establish a life-long relationship with music.

- To offer scholarships to students who would otherwise be unable to participate in the program.

- To provide our students with a wide variety of performing experiences from concerts in nursing homes and lower socioeconomic school districts, to performance at more visible locations such as the White House, the State House, Oriole Park, The Preakness Raceway, and the Flag Day celebration and Fort McHenry.

- To encourage self-esteem in the students and inspire them to be positive role models in all aspects of their lives.

- To promote the State of Maryland by providing enjoyable cultural performances to local, national and international audiences.

- To encourage parental volunteer participation to enhance the effectiveness of Maryland Sings as well as to demonstrate the benefits of volunteering to our students and the community at large.

- To enlist corporate financial and advisory support so the organization can experience continued growth, visibility and broader success.
