Mission
The entire community of Meriwether County Schools pledges to do whatever it takes for all students to attain high academic achievement as measured by local, state, and national standards.
Vision
In Meriwether County Schools, cultural change fosters high expectations for all members of the learning community. We use data to make all decisions, and we collaborate to do whatever it takes to close the achievement gap and increase student learning. We choose and nurture teachers who believe all students can succeed and who use individualized, differentiated instruction to make it happen. Self-reflection drives continuous learning and improvement for all. Celebrating our successes increases community involvement in and understanding of our mission, vision, values, and Smart goals.
Values
We will teach across the curriculum so that all students are able to perform on or above grade level in all subjects.
We will actively engage all students in the learning process.
We will ask higher level questions every day in every class.
We will use student data in making instructional decisions.
We will provide numerous, varied learning opportunities until all students and teachers exceed standards.
We will have the courage to make difficult decisions and do difficult things for our students’ benefit.
