Molly Ockett Middle School is a public school operated by MSAD 72. The school provides for the education of pupils in grades 6 through 8. On September 5, 2006, the school served 340 students: Gr.6 - 114 / Gr.7 - 120 / Gr. 8 - 106
In January, 1989, Molly Ockett Middle School, on Route 302 in Fryeburg, opened its doors to the district’s 6th, 7th and 8th graders and to the community. The school received its name through a school wide contest and vote. Molly Ockett, the last Pequawket Indian, was well known throughout Western Maine for her medical expertise, craftmanship, and friendly interactions with white settlers.
