About

The Monmouth-Independence Chamber of Commerce & Visitors Center was formed on May 22, 1984 to better serve the businesses and organizations of the community while promoting our area to tourists and travelers.

The MI Chamber of Commerce is a member-based organization made up of businesses, organizations, non-profits, and individuals from Monmouth, Independence, Polk County, and beyond. It is led by a 16 member volunteer board of directors and managed by a full-time executive director.
