We, being the people of Mt. Vernon Avenue Church of Christ, do agree that we will expeditiously and earnestly seek to evangelize the lost, edify the saved, minister to those in need, and be the conscience of the community.

We rely on the entirety of the written word of God, God’s absolute control of the universe, the salvation found alone in Jesus Christ, and the power and encouragement of the Holy Spirit.

Recognizing the great opportunity before us has convinced us to attempt something so impossible, that without God in it, it will fail.
