Are you retired and looking for a way to connect with your community?

 Eastern Carolina Housing Organization, also known as ECHO, is a housing organization that focuses on permanent housing solutions for Veterans and other people experiencing homelessness in Horry County.  We have recently started a Donation Center to help these individuals create a feeling of home with gently used furniture & household items gathered from people and businesses in our community. The great part of our program is that there is no cost to our clients -- items collected go directly to them on their move-in day!

While we are small & just getting started, we would like to grow!  Volunteers can get involved in community outreach, sorting & organizing donations as they come in, packing up items for delivery based on the individual client’s needs, and other tasks needed to help our operation.

If you’re an active person who wants to Give Back in a hands-on way & likes building something from the ground up, this could be just for you! Our Donation Center is located near the ECHO Office on 407 Broadway St, Myrtle Beach, SC, and our current hours of operation are Tuesday thru Thursday, from 10am till 3pm.
