About Us:

Naalehu Elementary School is located in the State of Hawaii on the Island of Hawaii also known as "The Big Island". Naalehu Elementary was built in 1928, and has an attendance area extending from Manuka Park to Hilea, Ka'u. Naalehu School services Pre K to Sixth Grade. 

The area is known for its mountainous and rugged terrain and for its beautiful lush green valleys at the foot of Mauna Loa. The community is interested in preserving the rural lifestyle and the rich and aesthetic environment they presently enjoy.

Our community is ethnically diverse and includes Native Hawaiians and Pacific Islanders from the Marshall Islands, Tonga and Samoa, as well as Filipinos, Caucasians, African-Americans, Latinos and Japanese.
