History:
The church was started on April 10, 1983. Pastor Brewer and his family came by faith, started the church by faith, and continued to build by faith and are serving here today.
The church was organized on October 27, 1985. There were sixty-five people in attendance that day at the Lorely Community Center. The sermon was preached by Reverend Ed Walls, Pastor of the Central Baptist Church, which is our mother church.
We met in other locales until the present building was erected. We met in the American Legion Hall on Silver Lake Drive for six months, the Lorely Community Center on Philadelphia Road for four years, and the White Marsh Child Care Center on Winding Way for eight years. On June 4, 1995 the church moved into its own building on Loyd Avenue.
New Life Baptist Church was started to fulfill the "Great Commission" in the Baltimore area and around the world through our missionaries.
