Founded in 1884, the Historical Society of Newburgh Bay and the Highlands, is one of the nations's oldest historical societies.

Housed in one of the most beautiful and historic houses in Newburgh, the Crawford House, the Historical Society has a very active group of members who meet monthly to organize community events, fund raisers, and to help people in the region realize the benefits of it's rich historic and architectural heritage through exhibits, programs, tours and community outreach efforts.
