North Cornwall Township was incorporated in 1929. As of the last official 1990 Census the reported population of the Township was 4,886. It is anticipated that this number will grow by approximately 1,000 in the year 2000, our next official census count.
The Township currently consists of a total area of 9.5 square miles and is comprised of various zoned areas from the rural agricultural to commercial landscaped horizons. New developments have been added to the Township over the past ten years resulting in our growing population.
The Township consists of approximately 43 miles of roadway, including state owned highway miles and approximately 20 miles of public sewer lines that service 1,800 households as well as the various businesses throughout the Township.
An elected Board of Supervisors governs the Township. Currently serving in this capacity are Randy B. Hoffman, Chairman, Larry A. Tompkins, Vice-Chairman, and Charles M. Brooks, Jr. as member.
