The North Gwinnett Arts Association (NGAA) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit art organization dedicated to promoting the appreciation of local art through exhibition, festivals and other media. Based in Suwanee, Georgia, the NGAA maintains an open membership policy where artists of all types are welcome to be a part of the organization. In the beginning, NGAA was designed to be a gathering for artists, crafts and art lovers who bring their experience, ranging from beginner to professional, to share and enjoy. In the last five years, the North Gwinnett Arts Association has grown into something much more.

Each year, NGAA is proud to present scholarships to college-bound high school students planning to major in the field of visual arts. Since 2013, three high school seniors have been awarded the Rosemary Benavides Williams Student Art Scholarship each year. The NGAA hosts two events in the beautiful Suwanee Town Center: Arts in the Park and Suwanee Classic Car Show. Both events draw large audiences and the proceeds fund the student art scholarships and NGAA art initiatives.

In 2016, North Gwinnett Arts Association will be opening Suwanee’s first Center for the Arts in Suwanee Town Center. Arts and cultural activities are at the heart of communities – they make communities more attractive places to live, they contribute to the ongoing knowledge within our communities, they help bring a community to life, they define a community’s unique characteristics, they attract tourists and they contribute to the economic well-being of their community.
