About Us:
Located in Norwood in the southeastern portion of Stanly County, Norwood School houses 496 Pre-kindergarten through fifth grade students in twenty-six regular classrooms. Norwood School is also served by three exceptional children program teachers and one Title I teacher. Part time services are provided by an art, a PE, a music, and a computer teacher. Enrollment continues to grow with each incoming kindergarten class, with the most growth centered in the lower grades.
The town of Norwood has a growing Hispanic population; this growth is reflected in the increase of Hispanic English as a Second Language (ESL) students. These students are served by an itinerant ESL teacher and assistant.
