Okolona Municipal Separate School District strives to provide quality, challenging instruction programs with a highly trained staff in a safe environment; using all available resources in a manner that will set high expectations for our students to excel academically, technologically, artistically, and athletically in order to become lifelong learners and to be prepared for a changing society.

District Vision

The vision of OMSSD is to develop a technology enhanced educational environment where each stakeholder (learner) has the opportunity to reach his or her maximum potential in a clean, orderly, positive, and safe atmosphere. Quality, caring instructors will emphasize core values and global work ethics/skills through a technology rich curriculum. All stakeholders (learners) from pre-K through adulthood will enjoy the mutual benefits of an enhanced educational environment where communication, cooperation, self-directed learning, and life-long learning will prepare them for the world of work or higher education. Utilizing quality leadership, diverse resources, and emerging technologies will allow OMSSD to enhance each stakeholders (learners) educational experiences as the world shifts from the Industrial Revolution to an information-based, technologically oriented society and economy.
