Mission:
In answer to God's call to share Christ's love, we welcome people of all abilities and life situations and encourage everyone to fully participate in life and service.
About Us:
Part of the Reformed Church in America, Schenectady Classis, Albany Synod. The church was established before the Revolutionary War.
We are a church of tradition. The Reformed Church in America is the oldest Protestant denomination in continuous existence in America having been established by Dutch settlers in Nieuw Amsterdam in 1628. In Old Saratoga (now Schuylerville) the Reformed Church was founded before the Revolutionary War. The exact date is not certain because church records were destroyed during the Battle of Saratoga. At the close of the war the church was reorganized and has served the community in each generation since that time.
We are a church of today, aware of the many human needs of our community and the world. Our ministry brings the Good News to people: where there is distress we offer comfort; where there is loneliness we offer friendship; where there is doubt, we share the gift of faith.
We are a church of tomorrow. While the structure and forms of today’s ministry may change, the eternal truth remains constant. It is hoped that upon the foundations built today, future generations will be able to express the Goiod News to their people in a way which is fitting for their day.
