School of the Osage, a progressive and growing school system, draws its name from the nearby Osage River and the Indians who once lived in the area. The district enrollment of 1,815 includes a K-2 elementary, upper elementary, junior high and high school. The schools and students of School of the Osage have received numerous awards in athletic, academic, and music competitions.

School of the Osage R-II District shall provide a safe learning environment in which all learners have equal and diverse opportunities to develop the knowledge, technological competencies, problem solving, critical thinking, social awareness skills, and character traits necessary for them to become productive adult citizens in a democratic society and global world.
