The Ottumwa Job Corps Center is now enrolling students for career technical training in the following fields: Heavy Equipment Mechanic, Heavy Equipment Operations, Material Handling and Distribution Operations, Medical Administrative Assistant, Network Cable Installation, and Nurse Assistant/Home Health Aide. Ottumwa has a self-paced education program for students to obtain their high school diploma or a high school equivalency credential. In addition, Ottumwa Job Corps also offers career planning, on-the-job training, job placement assistance, residential housing, food service, driver’s education programs, basic health care, and a biweekly basic living allowance.
