History:

Outlaw Motor Speedway has a long proud history of producing some of the best racing in the mid-west. Built in 2003, by Gary and Teresa Clay, the 3/8th clay, 9° banked oval has often been on the forefront of many racing innovations over its storied history.

The track is located on US Highway 69, just under 10 miles south from downtown Muskogee, Oklahoma and 12 miles north of downtown Checotah, Oklahoma. For reference, McAlester is 52 miles, Tulsa is 59 miles, Oklahoma City is 127 miles away from Outlaw.

From the first track to mandate full racing suits, the first to use Racecievers, the first host the World of Outlaws Late Model Series and Sprint Series in Oklahoma, to being the first NASCAR sanctioned track in the state of Oklahoma Outlaw Motor Speedway is always on the cutting edge of racing. In 2021 Outlaw is set to bring excitement back to the Muskogee area by partnering with the United States Racing Association as a sanctioned USRA track.

Now 18 years old the, “Fastest 3/8th in the West” is set to make history again by having FREE grandstand admission to regular race nights for the 2021 season.

In 2020 Outlaw Motor Speedway gave back to the community by having FREE grandstand admission during the COVID-19 Pandemic and saw admission swell to nearly 1,500 people per race night average, numbers not seen since 2009. With the added people in attendance, local participation, area economy saw a $2.5 million dollar impact.
With 29 scheduled races in 2021, 12 of them “special” race nights, including a touring series, Outlaw Motor Speedway is ready to make its mark once again.

Nearly all of Outlaw Motor Speedway’s fans and drivers come from about a 60-mile radius. Most of the support comes from the Muskogee, Checotah and Tahlequah area. The economic impact can be seen in local schools and the Muskogee and Checotah economies in the form of hotel stays and local shopping.
