To preserve items of historical interest from the Palacios area.
To prepare written historical documents concerning the area.
To own and operate a museum to house and exhibit collections.
To compile genealogical information concerning persons in the area.
The association has 9 trustees who serve staggered 3 year terms. It owns and operates a museum in the R.J. Hill Building, a commercial establishment built in 1910, located at 401 Commerce Street in Palacios and is current;y being housed in the Museum Annex during renovations. Volunteers serve as Docents. The museum is open each Friday and on special occasions. It can be opened at other times upon request.
