About Us

A Chamber of Commerce is a voluntary organization that unites businesses, professional people and the community in an effort to expand the economy of the area. It must be understood that a Chamber of Commerce is PEOPLE. There is a place in the Chamber for members to get involved and accomplish collectively what no one of them could do alone, thereby creating a pool of resources from which to draw ideas, energies and finances. Today, Chambers of Commerce have become community organizations that recognize all the factors that affect the community and adjust their programs accordingly.

The Palos Verdes Peninsula Chamber of Commerce maintains an excellent relationship with all four Peninsula cities and surrounding communities. It is recognized as the action agency that accomplishes many goals in the community. This reputation was earned through years of concerned involvement on the part of the area's business, professional and community leadership.

A Board of Directors made up of area volunteers, sets the Chamber's policy. The Chamber staff works with volunteer committees to accomplish the goals and objectives of the Chamber. The Palos Verdes Peninsula Chamber has 10 active committees.
