For more than 50 years, the Panola County Chamber of Commerce has worked to ensure that visitors feel at home in East Texas and that the business climate is such that enterprises of all sizes will flourish. Housed in the historic Hawthorn-Clabaugh-Patterson Home at 300 West Panola St., the chamber offers a wide variety of informative maps, brochures and literature that guide visitors toward getting the most out of their visit to Panola County.
Recently named a Main Street City, Carthage has developed exciting plans for the city, including the a pre-4th of July celebration on the Saturday before the 4th of July. The first Oil & Gas Blast was held November 2002 and continues to draw a large crowd of venders, entertainers and visitors.
