Parkwood United Presbyterian Church was founded in 1965 as a merger of two smaller community congregations. The "United" refers to the union of the Allison Park Presbyterian and Wildwood Presbyterian congregations. Parkwood Church is a mainline Presbyterian church with a worship style that is more traditional than contemporary.

Parkwood is a congregation of Christians who remember that our salvation and all the gifts of our lives come from God's grace. We worship and serve mindful of the fact that we are all sinners whose lives were redeemed by Jesus Christ's resurrection. At Parkwood our focus is on serving God not judging the beliefs of others.
