Pathway Church first assembled for worship as St. Matthew Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Hughes Middle School on November 7, 1971.   After 40 years of fruitful ministry as St. Matthew, God sowed the seed of a name change to better reflect who we are and our mission, purpose and values.

We are a group of ordinary, fun loving, messed up people who love God and are trying to figure out together how to do this thing called life. We are a composite of young, old and middle of the pack, wealthy, poor and middle class, black, brown and white, long time, short time and no time believers.   We love people and we love to serve others.  The Bible is our text book for life and we believe every person is born with a unique purpose. We believe the true awe and wonder of God and life is found in a daily relationship with Jesus Christ, the world God created, and its inhabitants.
