History
In January of 1897, Brother Frank Faust of Pricetown, OH. began preaching services in Peebles one Sunday of each month. As there was no church building where the services could be held, Brother Faust and other followers of Jesus met in a hall on Main Street unti June 5, 1898 when the first church building was dedicated to the Lord's service.
The church had some difficult years and struggled to keep the doors open because of a common disinterest and lack of leadership. But as God had planned, they perservered. Conditions improved and by the 1950's the church's floor space had to be remodeled to nearly twice the original size.
The Congregation continued to grow and as there was no room left to expand the existing structure, groundbreaking began for a new one at the church's present day location. Upon it's completion, in August of 1992, the new church building was dedicated with over 400 people in attendance.
In 1998, the Peebles Church of Christ celebrated it's 100th Anniversary. It has remained steadfast in it's New Testament teaching and has an average atendance of over 200 each Sunday.
