Our History

Imagine one Sunday morning in October of 1982 when 49 people met in a rented building with only a wood stove for heat and open windows for air-conditioning, growing to become today's Peninsula—a vibrant, active, Bible-teaching church.

As a mission church of Southside Baptist of Mooresville, Peninsula began when a handful of believers came together, called a pastor and sacrificed financially to provide a firm foundation. Since 1982, Peninsula Baptist Church has sought to reach our community for Christ.

By standing on God's Word, He has opened doors to make Peninsula a welcoming place to worship, a safe haven for families, and a light in our community.

Through ministries to children, students, adults, singles and senior adults, we seek to teach God's Word and grow in our understanding of His purpose and plan for us.
