Performative Philosophy is the love of wisdom in action. Our aim is to restore the ethical and rational basis of human spirituality by training together people of all faiths, persuasions and affiliations so that each can present his or her best face in public. We believe in drama, chaos and confrontation in a controlled, friendly environment. The course is availaible with credit (regular tuition charged) and on a non-credit basis with little or no charge.
Meetings at St. Paul's Episcopal Church, Houghton Book Shop and at Books Etc. are free and open to the public. Courses at Writers & Books carry a low tuition charge, and meetings there usually charge $3 or less. Courses at St. John Fisher require full tuition payment and registration for college credit or audit. Fisher courses are not open to the public in general, but everyone in performative philosophy is encouraged to circulate and percolate.
