The Pet Adoption League has been finding homes for abandoned animal since 1937.  We are located in the Hackettstown, NJ area, but have rescued and placed dogs and cats from Morris, Hunterdon, and Sussex counties, to nearby Pennsylvania, and even into New York!    Our organization works hard to find appropriate homes for these animals and also provide support services to new pet owners.  The Pet Adoption League is a 501(c) 3 organization (#222-467-373/000).  We are an "all-volunteer" group with no paid employees.  We do not own a shelter, but instead board our pets in area facilities or in foster homes, when available, provided by volunteers and also provide veterinary care for the animals until they find a new home.   All of our funding comes from private donations or from the tireless efforts of our volunteers through bake sales, yard sales, and similar events, such as our annual Tricky Tray.
