Phoenix Farm is the brainchild of Heather Bailey and John Strassburger, two lifelong horsemen who dreamed of establishing a training center in Northern California. Located in beautiful Sonoma Country, Calif., Phoenix Farms is a 65-acre facility with a 70 x 30 all-weather ring, acres of trails (including a 500 meter uphill conditioning track), a 10-stall center aisle barn with wash stall, and the dedication of experienced professionals.
Although we specialize in the sports of dressage and eventing, we believe every horse and rider should be given the opportunity to excel. Our bottom-to-top approach to training horses and riders addresses the physical, psychological and educational tools necessary to produce happy and confident horses and riders. Whether your dream is to compete or just enjoy your horse to the fullest, we at Phoenix Farm can tailor a program to meet your needs.
We limit the number of horses on the property in order to ensure personalized care for each and every horse. Your horses are handled and treated as if they were our own. At Phoenix Farm we are blessed with more than 40 acres of pasture fenced in non-climb and electric tape, and all the horses here are turned out in small, same-sex groups for a minimum of 12 hours daily. We can offer your horse an environment not easily found in California.
