About the Club:
The Poplar Bluff Garden Club is once again organizing a large Crepe Myrtle Project for the city of Poplar Bluff. We are trying to raise money to fund the planting of crepes along Hwy 142, the entrance to the Industrial Park, with Crepe Myrtles and or other flowering trees. We have the support of the Highway Department and will soon start our campaign to bring more business interests together in this matter. This will involve the purchase of hundreds of crepe myrtles, which will bloom from June through October each year. This should be the only cost involved, although it could involve the purchase of soil and mulch if no free supply is available.
