About Prairie Garden Farm

After retiring from the service and moving every two to three years, we settled in Kansas and started Prairie Garden Farm. Although we started with a house and small barn built in the middle of a big hayfield, our goal is to develop Prairie Garden Farm into a diversified farm using sustainable, environmentally conscious and humane methods.  

Goals 

• Produce Healthy food for our family and community

• Raise content animals naturally and humanely

• Increase the vitality of the soil and diversity of grasses

• Maintain a community connection 

• Enhance our farm's natural ecological processes

• Have fun through learning, doing and sharing
