About Us

The district is a rural school district encompassing 256 square miles of land in Eastern Lamar County. The towns of Blossom, Cunningham, Deport and Pattonville are part of the district along with numerous other small communities. The district began in 1970 with the consolidation of 4 small districts including Blossom, Cunningham, Deport and East Lamar. During its existence, Prairiland has been classified as both a 2A and a 3A district with the high school enrollment varying between 260 and 350 students.
