We want your first day with us to be enjoyable so here's what you can expect. When you arrive at our front door, you'll be greeted by some of the friendliest people we know. Our greeters will meet you with a smile and are ready to help you in any way they can.

As you enter the lobby you'll find our Welcome Center to your right and our sanctuary straight ahead. If you have children, you'll want to go toward the Children's wing which is to your right. You'll find the nursery just inside the double doors on your right. If you have toddlers, you'll want to continue past the nursery toward the classrooms where you'll find the teachers who will direct you to your child's class. The nursery workers and teachers will take care of your children from here and you're free to find your way back to the lobby.

If you're joining us for morning discipleship classes, you will find them in the Adult wing which is to the left of the sanctuary. As you pass the Library and go through the double doors you'll find the Adult Small Group classrooms.

Our morning worship service begins at 10:30 a.m. in the sanctuary where you'll be greeted with music by our Praise & Worship team followed by the sermon. If you are visiting for the first time, we ask that you complete the information form located in your bulletin and place it in the offering plate. Our service normally concludes at noon and please remember to collect your children before leaving the building!   We hope your first day with us is a blessing to you and your family...we can't wait to see you again!

History

Founded in 1951, Praise Cathedral has been a community staple for over half a century, providing many local outreach programs as well as international mission support. Our church family meets several times a week to worship, praise, and fellowship with one another. We have a wide variety of ministries and activities for all age groups.

In addition, we also provide Small Groups and Family Life Ministries for adults to learn and grow in all aspects of life, with classes on finance, marriage, and spiritual growth. We welcome visitors and encourage you to come and experience all that Praise Cathedral has to offer.

Praise Cathedral is the second youngest church in North East.  Originally established downtown on Main Street where Reverand Lincoln Pyle pastored the church for 28 years.  In 1980 Reverand Douglas Pyle became the pastor for three years followed by Reverand Lawrence Whitney who started in 1983.  Reverand Jerry Bell pastored the church for six years and in July 1999 Reverand Michael Grove and his family moved to North East to become a part of Praise Cathedral.  "Pastor Mike"  has worked diligently as our Lead Pastor for many years, and in April, 2015 we embarked on the journey of becoming a multi-campus church.  Pastor Mike accepted the Lead Pastor position at New Life Fellowship Church of God in Mount Union, Pennsylvania, and we are currently developing this multi-campus ministry.  We believe our multi-campus ministry will be a blessing to both communities and we are excited to see where God is leading us!
