History:

December 2006 - Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Allen welcomes its first set of triplets - Carrie, Abigail and Sara. The hospital's expanded OB services allow trained staff to work closely with babies who require specialized care such as pre-term babies, newborns with birth defects, post-surgical cases and other babies who may need a high level of observation or intensive nursing care.

May 2006 - Texas Health Allen announces the opening of a newly renovated and expanded Breast Center. Located in the MOB II, the Breast Center provides leading-edge imaging techniques, like full-field digital mammography, as well as minimally invasive treatment options.

September 2005 - Texas Health Allen completes its expansion project, which includes the addition of eight ICU beds, five new emergency department examination/treatment rooms, 13 med/surg beds, a Special Care Nursery offering Level II neonatal services, six new labor/delivery/recovery/post-partum suites and a second C-section procedure room

May 2004 - Hospital staff, local dignitaries and government officials are on hand for groundbreaking ceremony to launch a $15 million hospital expansion.

October 2003 - Texas Health Allen, together with real estate developer Cambridge Holdings, Inc. of Dallas, begins construction of its second medical office building. The joint venture partnership with physicians consists of a 60,000 square foot, three-level structure that connects through the current medical office space.

July 2002 - Texas Health Allen purchases 21 acres of land in Twin Creeks Business Park, as the hospital prepares for long-term growth. Adjacent to the hospital's location at 75 and Exchange Parkway, the area is zoned for medical office space, retail office space and flex use.

December 2000 - Texas Health Allen, the first hospital constructed in the city and newest in Collin County, opens its doors. The 14-acre campus, located on the southwest corner of Exchange Parkway and U.S. 75 Central Expressway North, provides a wide array of health care programs in a specially designed, patient-friendly environment.
