The Central Mississippi Chapter of the Project Management Institute was chartered in April 2011 after being a satellite of the New Orleans Chapter since 2008.  The chapter is a 501(c)(6) non profit organization with over 175 members representing over 90 local area businesses.

Over 70% of the Central Mississippi Chapter's membership holds one or more professional certifications. Along with the annual PDD, the chapter has monthly chapter meetings which include a speaker either from within the chapter or from the community who provides continuing education for one of the areas in the talent triangle. In addition, chapter members teach 3 to 5 certification preparation courses each year. These courses are 3 to 4 days in length and cover the most relevant certifications offered by PMI for our business community.
