As the third largest school district in Mississippi, the Rankin County School District serves nearly 19,500 students in 27 schools over 757 square miles.

In addition to a rigorous academic curriculum, we believe extracurricular activities play an important role in the education of the total person. Our students are also encouraged to develop skills in athletics and the arts.

The Rankin County School District has the lowest tax rate of any school district in the metro Jackson area.
