R.E.A.L. stands for Really Effecting Another's Life - the concept is for one person to participate in helping to change the life of one other person. No magic, no deep philosophic mind benders, no 8 simple steps to cure all mankind's ills.

Encouraging fellow Christians (1 Thessalonians 5:11) and ministering to others (Colossians 3:16) is something Christians are called to do.  For us, this is a given. With REALFest, we want to go a step further than that.

In 2014 we will invite 15,000 people to meet on a piece of land in Western Iowa for three days of music, challenges and the promise that everyone that shows up will leave with the chance to reach to one person. R.E.A.L. Fest.

The focus for the festival, beyond ministering, will be threefold 1) Adoption 2) developing new Foster families and 3) Orphan care.

We will have representatives from many states like Kansas, Missouri, Iowa, Nebraska, South Dakota and Minnesota and national groups that will be on-hand to actually get people started in the process of becoming foster parents, adopting families and reaching out to orphans. These people will know the requirements and laws for the states they represent. No one goes home empty handed, no one goes home uninformed.

One stage, 15-18 artists (some Grammy and Dove award nominated), music from across the spectrum, but all aimed at the family. We will intersperse music with speakers and video presentations. We will also suggest that people do their wandering during the music and be in their seats during the interludes. This isn't all about music, it's about R.E.A.L. Three hours on Saturday will be divided in two seminars: the first focused on the adoption process, the second will introduce people to the possibilities of opening their home to foster kids.
